Today we rewind to 2015, when Something Rotten! was rehearsing for Broadway. Something Rotten! ran for 708 performances at the St. James Theatre. Directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, it starred Christian Borle, Brian d'Arcy James, Heidi Blickenstaff, John Cariani, Brad Oscar, Kate Reinders and Brooks Ashmanskas.

BroadwayWorld's own Richard Ridge said of this 2008 episode of Broadway Rewind, 'I loved looking back at the musical Next to Normal and realizing the impact it has had on the musical theatre genre. We start off high a top Rockefeller Center to the Rainbow Room for The Drama League's Gala where they honored beloved producer Roger Berlind. It featured many of the stars and shows that he produced over his illustrious career.  Look for David Hyde Pierce, Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley, Donna Murphy, Karen Ziemba and Debra Monk.'

The Belasco Theatre was the place to be last night as Broadway's best gathered to celebrate opening night of Girl from the North Country. Over the past two years, John Oliver has been involved in a lawsuit with coal company CEO Robert Murray, after Oliver called Murray a 'geriatric Dr. Evil' and made fun of his energy corporation during a segment in June 2017. Recently, Murray dropped the suit against HBO. During this time, Oliver was unable to make jokes about Murray or the lawsuit, but now that the suit has been dropped, Oliver is going all out.

Ansel Elgort stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk about his upcoming film, The Goldfinch. During the interview, Colbert congratulated Elgort for landing the lead role of Tony in the upcoming West Side Story film.

Warner Bros has released the trailer for the gritty, female-driven mob drama “The Kitchen,” from New Line Cinema and BRON Creative, which was written and directed by Andrea Berloff and stars Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy (“Can You Ever Forgive Me?” “Bridesmaids”), Tiffany Haddish (“Girls Trip”), and Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid's Tale”).

There's a new Carney family in town. Earlier this month, a whopping fourteen new cast members joined the 35-member ensemble of The Ferryman, now performing at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.
